What is Warrior Clan?

Warrior Clan is a rewards program for SVMS students based upon academic achievement and behavior. Each quarter students are rewarded with a school-wide activity to celebrate their hard work and achievement. Students work directly with their Stars teachers on a weekly basis as they progress towards achieving their Warrior Clan reward. Students also have the opportunity to regain points lost along the way. While teachers are there to help and support, this program is designed as a student motivator and helping students take responsibility for their success.

Quarter 1 Warrior Clan activities will be Tuesday, October 29th for 7th grade and Monday, November 4th for 8th grade.  Students will be going to Cache Valley Fun Park.

Star Valley Middle School and other LCSD#2 schools will be celebrating Farm to School Crunch Off Day October 7th! On this day they will get to try locally grown sweet corn from Lander Wyoming, and hamburgers from Star Valley Block! The Wyoming Farm to School program connects local agricultural producers with school meal programs to serve fresh, locally grown food and provide hands-on nutrition education. Around 35 school districts participate in farm-to-school activities across the state. The volume of school meals featuring Wyoming-grown products has risen sharply, reaching tens of thousands of meals. In the past Wyoming has been awarded the Mountain Plains Region Crunch Off champion for serving high numbers of local food bites per capita. Farm to School in Wyoming is especially impressive as we have to navigate Wyoming’s short growing season and match the large-scale purchasing needs of school kitchens.
