SVMS Robotics Club

SVMS Robotics will get underway starting Wednesday, October 13th, after school. Wondering if you want to participate or what it is all about? Watch Vex Robotics Competition Tipping Point: 2021-2022 game reveal - Students design, construct, program and drive robots in a competition, competing against other students in grades 7-12. Practices will be on Wednesdays for two hours after school. Competitions are on Saturday (Dec-Feb), usually three of them, dates to be determined. Space in Robotics Club is limited. If interested, see Mrs. Johns in the Computer Lab to get sign-up information.

Yearbook – Yearbook – Yearbook!!

If you would like to purchase a yearbook for the 2021-2022 school year, please go to the parent portal on Infinite Campus and select SCHOOL STORE.  Click on SVMS Yearbook and put it in the cart.  You can purchase a yearbook from August 23rd through the end of April 2022.  If you have any questions, please call the office at 307-885-5208

CLASSY – a continued focus at SVMS

CLASSY a self-improvement and kindness program founded by former SVMS Principal, Kem Cazier, continues to be a pillar at SVMS. CLASSY is used in Stars classes through journaling, self-reflection and behavior expectations. Along with CLASSY, administration and teachers will be using the 8 Keys of Excellence to support CLASSY behaviors. The keys include:

  • Integrity – Match behavior with values
  • Failure Leads To Success – Learn from mistakes
  • Speak With Good Purpose – Speak honestly and kindly
  • This Is it! – Make the most of every moment
  • Commitment – Make your dreams happen

Red Ribbon Week – October 18 – 22

Movie Monday: Watch out for drugs!

Hats, washable hair dye, face paint and no weapons

Twin Tuesday: Double up against drugs!

Find a twin and dress alike (hats allowed)

Red Wednesday: Wear red so you’re not high in the head!

Wear as much red as you can (hats allowed)

Tropical Thursday: Don’t be in the high!

Hats, sunglasses and face paint

Formal Friday: Stay fly, don’t get high!

Boys – Collared Shirts 

Girls – Dresses, skirts, or dress pants

Tardy Policy 2021-22

After a student’s third tardy they will lose their lunch time and will eat lunch in the office. 
If a student gets a fourth tardy they will lose their lunch time and RIF.
If a student gets a fifth tardy they will not be able to attend that months celebration whether it is a dance or a donut social.
