Star Valley Middle School Celebrates WYTOPP Success

Star Valley Middle School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students on this year’s WYTOPP assessments. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, the guidance of our teachers, and the ongoing support of our parents.

Our students earned some of the very top scores in the state:

7th Grade Math: 2nd in Wyoming

8th Grade Math: 5th in Wyoming

7th Grade English Language Arts: 1st in Wyoming

8th Grade English Language Arts: 1st in Wyoming

8th Grade Science: 3rd in Wyoming

These accomplishments don’t come easily. They are the result of consistent effort, perseverance, and the partnership between home and school. In the coming days, SVMS will be hanging banners to recognize and celebrate these incredible accomplishments with our students.

We are extremely proud of our students and teachers and deeply grateful to our parents for trusting us each day with their children. Together, we are preparing students for success at the next level and beyond.

SVMS Robotics will get underway starting Wednesday, October 15th, from 3:45pm to 5pm.  Wondering if you want to participate or what it is all about? Watch Vex V5 Robotics Competition Push Back. Students design, construct, program and drive robots in a competition, competing against other students in grades 7-12. Practices will be on Wednesdays from 3:45pm – 5:55pm after school at Star Valley High School. Competitions are on Saturday (Dec-Feb), dates to be determined. Space in Robotics Club is limited. What is Warrior Clan?

Warrior Clan is a rewards program for SVMS students based upon academic achievement and behavior. Each quarter students are rewarded with a school-wide activity to celebrate their hard work and achievement. Students work directly with their Stars teachers on a weekly basis as they progress towards achieving their Warrior Clan reward. Students also have the opportunity to regain points lost along the way. While teachers are there to help and support, this program is designed as a student motivator and helping students take responsibility for their success.

Quarter 1 Warrior Clan activities will be Monday, November 3rd, for 7th grade and Monday, November 10th, for 8th grade.  Students will be going to Cache Valley Fun Park.

National School Lunch Week

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

NSLW25 will be celebrated October 13-17, 2025.
