The 7th grade is excited to announce the Angel Tree Program we will have at SVMS running from November 11th-December 16th. We have partnered with the Bank of Star Valley to do a blanket and toy drive. Any new blankets and new toys will be accepted! All donations will go to the angels at the bank as there is always a need for extra gifts. There will be a tree in the school library that all donations will go under, and students will be rewarded with candy bracelets if they are able to donate. We hope to foster the holiday spirit at school this season! If your family could use assistance, we encourage you to apply for help at the Bank of Star Valley. We would love some of our gifts to go to our SVMS families!

Parent Teacher Conference

Dear SVMS Parents,

We want to inform you about the upcoming Parent-Teacher conferences, which are an invaluable opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teachers and gain insight into their academic progress and overall well-being.

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held at two different locations to accommodate everyone’s schedules. On Tuesday, November 12th, conferences will take place at Thayne Elementary from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Then, on Wednesday, November 13th, we will host conferences at Star Valley Middle School from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. We encourage you to attend either session.

This is an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with your child’s teachers, ask questions, and work together to support your child’s educational journey. We look forward to seeing you there and fostering a strong partnership between home and school.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education.

What is Stars at SVMS?

Students and Teachers Accepting Responsibility to Succeed

Stars is a class that all students at SVMS are assigned. Stars teachers serve as mentors — getting to know students on a personal level, monitoring grades, providing service opportunities, learning social skills and teaching students about CLASSY.

Yearbook – Yearbook – Yearbook!!

To be guaranteed a yearbook, it needs to be  purchased by December 31, 2024. If you have any questions, please call the office at 307-885-5208.

CLASSY – a continued focus at SVMS

Count Your Blessings – Look for the Good – Acts of Kindness – Self-Motivation – Service – You are Valued

C = Count Your Blessings  — here at SVMS we are counting our blessings. As part of CLASSY, students are asked to reflect daily on the blessings in their lives. It is better to be grateful for our blessings, then to take them for granted. What are your blessings? (family, friends, electricity, sunshine, snow, food to eat, talents…the list could be endless) Don’t forget to Count Your Blessings daily!!
