2019-2020 Year End Checkout Information

Students and parents, SVMS will be open for end of year check out on the following days from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm- Tuesday May 26th, Wednesday May 27th, and Thursday May 28th. We will also be open on Friday May 29th from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon. Please stop by on one of those days to complete your end of year check out. This includes locker clean out, payment of any lunch balance, book check in, computer check in if you checked one out and to get your yearbook. Please be aware, we will be letting small groups in at a time and will be continuing social distancing practices. This could result in wait times.

Paper Learning Opportunities (pick-up)

Star Valley Middle School will be allowing one family in the building at a time for pick up and delivery of paper assignments. The building hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays through the end of April from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Please note that the front doors will be locked,  so please knock on the front door. If no one opens the door, it is because we are helping another student.  If you need to pick up something from your locker/PE locker or a band instrument, you will be able to do that through April 14th; however, classrooms and the library will not be available. After April 14, parents and students will not be permitted in the building. If you need assistance please contact (307) 885-5208, (307) 887-2015 or (307) 248-1433.

How to Access Educational Learning Opportunities on the District Website

The “educational learning opportunities” for your student to be working on are now accessible on LCSD2’s website.  Here’s the easiest way to find them:
  • Go to     http://www.lcsd2.org/covid19/
  • Click on the blue “At Home Learning” button.  That screen will ONLY show the recent additions. 
  • Click on “Secondary Education” towards the top right (black header bar with white writing).  This will pull up a list of ALL secondary resources.
  • SVMS resources are listed on the left-hand side by grade and subject.
 Hopefully you’ll be able to access these and continue learning from home! 

SVMS Library Resources

To access non-fiction SVMS ebooks:

– Go to svms.lcsd2.org (you are already here)
– Click “Library” (see tab on top of this page)
– Click “Gale Resources”
– Click “Middle School Resources”
– Type in the name of the book and click “Search”

AR Testing Access at Home

Go to: https://global-zone08.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/249699 to access the Renaissance sign-in page.
Students will use their regular username and password.
Time restrictions have been adjusted so you can test at more convenient times.
To access test numbers for all AR books:
“Quick Search” by title will work for most books you are looking for
Choose “Advanced Search” to find specific non-fiction books and make sure you also list the author of the book
